Performance Highlights
The Queen’s Ball: A Bridgerton Experience (Lady Maria Branwell; Minneapolis Tour)
Julie has always adored Bridgerton, so stepping into the world of the show as the lead female dancer, Maria, felt like stepping into a dream. From the first rehearsal to the final performance, the entire experience was pure magic. Performing this show 78 times wasn’t just about the stage lights or choreography – it was about living out a story she loved and getting to do what she’s most passionate about. It’s a role, and a time in her life, she will never forget.
Romeo & Juliet (Juliet)
Julie couldn’t have been more delighted to step into the role of her dreams as Juliet in Romeo and Juliet. The experience was everything she’d ever hoped for and more, allowing her to explore a wide range of emotions: from shy first glances to playful flirtation, from falling in love to moments of anger and inevitable heartbreak. Every scene felt alive and deeply human. The modern musical selections and stylistic choices that Regina Peluso incorporated brought a fresh, vibrant energy to the timeless story, making the dance experience truly unforgettable.
Cinderella (Fairy Godmother & Stepmother)
What better way to bring the classic tale of Cinderella to life than by performing it twice as two completely different characters? Julie loved stepping into her sparkly, bubble-gum pink gown as the Fairy Godmother, waving her Harry Potter wand to make a little magic happen onstage. Then, with a full transformation, she relished the chance to play the wicked Stepmother, proving that playing evil can be just as fun as being good. The contrast between the roles let her showcase her versatility while embracing every bit of theatrical fun along the way.
Grease (Cha-Cha)
Julie had a blast stepping into the role of Cha-Cha in Grease. Who doesn’t love being the standout dancer at St. Bernadette’s – fiery, confident, and just a little bit over the top? Playing such a bold, spicy character gave her a chance to show off not only her dance skills but also her comedic flair, delivering some of the best one-liners with perfect timing.
